22 November 2017 – UKspace Secretary General, Paul Flanagan, was last night awarded the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Geoffrey Pardoe Space Award, in recognition of his “significant contribution to space”.

Paul was nominated for his long-term work in the space industry, by the Space Specialist Group of the Royal Aeronautical Society, chaired by Philip Davies of DEIMOS Space UK. The Geoffrey Pardoe Space Award is named after the former President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, who held the post from 1984-1985.

Paul said: “I’m absolutely delighted and incredibly honoured to have been recognised by the Society with this very special award. I look forward to UKspace continuing to play an active and important role in the growth of the UK space sector.”
