Theta Systems

Theta Systems is a UK-based start-up specialising in medium power (1kW – 5kW) electric propulsion. Its team is drawn from UK university researchers, bringing together plasma physics expertise and successful orbital electric propulsion experience.

The company’s goal is to eliminate industry dependence on expensive and environmentally damaging propellants, like Xenon and Krypton. It will replace them with low-cost and sustainable alternatives, which outperform current Hall-Effect Thrusters, by using novel plasma acceleration techniques.
