ClearSpace

ClearSpace, founded in 2018, brings together space experts including astronauts, engineers and researchers from all over the world to enable the future of a vibrant, resilient and sustainable space economy. ClearSpace develops and provides affordable in-orbit services to remove non-operational satellites and prevent the proliferation of debris that could endanger space operations. On 13 November 2020, ClearSpace signed a contract worth €86 million with the European Space Agency to pioneer the first space mission to remove an item from orbit and demonstrate the technologies needed for future commercial debris removal: the ClearSpace-1 Mission.
