New resource offers detailed presentation of FirstNet LTE Network

31 March 2015 – Artech House today announced the publication of Building the FirstNet Public Safety Broadband Network by Robert I. Desourdis, Jr., Rob Dew, Mark O’Brien, and Holger Hinsch. This new resource explains the critical steps involved in planning, designing, implementing, and sustaining the FirstNet (public safety) LTE network. Wireless network planners, engineers, and managers are presented with emerging broadband technologies and their immediate impact on FirstNet planning, such as LTE access-class mechanisms and digital television datacasting in its complementary role to LTE.

According to Steve Noel of Oregon FirstNet Single Point of Contact, this new book is “a must-read for FirstNetters’ SPOC’s, SWIC’s, Public Safety, and broadband service providers. The organization of materials makes it an easy-to-use resource.”

Building the FirstNet Public Safety Broadband Network is available now from Artech House, a leading publisher of books and software for professionals in high-technology industries.
