13 November 2014 – The Space Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is inviting people to join it on 9 December in London for a European Commission presentation on the content of the H2020 Space 2015 Work Programme, as well as other informative presentations from the UK support network (eg. National Contact Points) for Space and other space-related funding calls and the opportunity for advice and face-to-face discussions with the NCPs and the KTN. You will also be able to learn some tips from successful applicants to the Horizon 2020 and Framework Programme 7.
There will also be an opportunity for short 2-minute pitches on your organisation’s areas of capability and interest, as well as plenty of time to network.
The day will concentrate on the Space Work Programme, but it is worth noting that the Societal Challenges pillar of H2020 has a budget in the region of 38bn Euros, and has many areas of relevance to space (e.g. Climate, Transport, Food Security, Blue Growth to name but a few) and pointers will be given on the day towards areas of space relevance in other parts of H2020.
Don’t forget though, to get the most out of the day, and out of Horizon 2020 as a whole, do starting thinking and talking to collaborators now to get ideas and teams lined up, and make use of the support and advice available in the meantime.
Register your interest for a one-to-one session and/or the opportunity to do a 2-minute pitch. Please email kelly.botham@ktn-uk.org to confirm a slot.
