7 July 2014 – 6th form work experience student, Tim Pickering, from Pates Grammar School, Cheltenham, Glos, has recently completed a work experience week with TASUK in Bristol, working on their MARSBalloon Launches.
Andrew Bacon, Senior Space Systems Engineer, said: “Tim was a vital member of the team”.
The MARSBalloon mission launched 8- experiments made by secondary school students from all across the UK, designed to test how everyday objects will survive on Mars. The students were set the challenge to come up with experiments for testing anything that humans might want to take or do on Mars in the future.
