The Transforming our future: the UK’s space sector conference will take place on the 3 June 2025 and will convene industry, academia, policy, space specialists and non-specialists to provide a picture of the global space scene and the UK’s part in it. The full agenda of speakers can be found here.
The organiser committee for this conference consists of:
- Professor Michele Dougherty FRS, Professor of space physics at Imperial College London, president-elect of the IOP, and Executive Chair of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)
- Dr David H Parker, Development Manager at the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications, ESA-ECSAT
- Iain Hughes, Head of the National Space Innovation Programme, UK Space Agency
- Dr Chris Hobbs, Former Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (Space) University of Southampton and Former Head of Business Strategy, Satellite Applications Catapult
The event is part of the Royal Society’s Transforming our future series, which brings together leading experts to examine important scientific and technical challenges of the coming decade.
