Organised by the British Interplanetary Society, the Reinventing Space Conference brings together agencies, professionals, manufacturers, satellite operators, entrepreneurs and researchers to navigate the evolving landscape of international space collaboration and competition.
This year’s conference theme is ‘The Rapidly Changing Context of Global Space’ and will tackle the critical implications of recent developments affecting UK-European space cooperation, launch services, sovereignty and commercial opportunities.
Expert panels and keynote speakers include Prof. Carole Mundell (ESA Director of Science), Prof. David Parker (former ESA Director and visiting Prof. at Southampton University), Dr Alice Bunn (President, UKspace), Prof Andreas Hein (Institute for Interstellar Studies, i4is) and Prof Bernard Foing (President, Space Renaissance International).
There will also be expert panels hosted by Helen Sharman (first British astronaut), David Todd (Space Insurance), Alan Cross (Space Clusters) and a Southampton University session. On Tuesday 28 October, there will be the Gala Dinner and Sir Arthur Clarke Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements across UK space activities. This prestigious ceremony recognises the individuals and teams shaping the future of British space endeavour.
