Engaging with MOD Innovation and Funding

This in-person conference will help attendees to better understand the MOD procurement processes, as well as other sources of funding and support available for innovation across a wide range of technology fields within Defence and Security. SMEs can also gain insights and advice to assist them in entering the Defence and Security supply chain.

One specific field to be addressed is the use of digital technology to enhance Command Capability, in what is known as “the cognitive domain”. This involves both improving our capability and degrading that of potential aggressors.

The event is hosted by Defence and Security Oxford Brookes University (DASOBU), a leading research organisation in shaping the human dimension of defence and security capability.

Senior speakers from MOD Defence Innovation, DASA, Dstl, DE&S, Oxford Brookes, one or more front line commands and others will cover the following topics:

• How the MOD promotes and funds innovation and research
• Science and technology priorities and funding options across Defence
• Emerging requirements in information warfare and influence operations
• Technologies that support improved decision making, deception and simulation
