8 February 2019 – The UK space sector is developing a proposal for a National Space Programme (NSP) which will help to drive towards the targets set by the Space IGS and Prosperity from Space. In building the case for the NSP, the Space Trade and Exports Partnership (space industry, DIT, and UKSA) is conducting a consultation to support a component focused on helping UK companies to increase exports.
The NSP relates to money spent directly by the UK instead of through ESA, while the International Space Programme (ISP) relates to investment spent on developing the UK’s commercial relationships abroad. The ISP will be a component of the NSP.
This consultation will contribute to a strategic business case and will run until March 2019, seeking to engage the widest possible range on view on how the National Space Programme can boost exports and build new partnerships around the world. The first step is to create a strategic view of what problems the International Space Programme should be seeking to address and identify key stakeholders in this process.
This is your opportunity to influence the next stage of the UK space sector’s development.
If you would like to contribute to this stage of the consultation please visit https://spacetradepartnership.uk/pubs.html and download the spreadsheet. This should take you only a few minutes to complete.
Responses must be returned by 22 February 2019.
