26 April 2016 – The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), an international research centre based in France, has selected Tessella to provide data treatment consultancy.
At the leading edge of neutron science and technology, ILL operates one of the most intense neutron sources in the world. Tessella will use its experience in data analytics, modelling and best practice in software development with the ILL team and share knowledge of the Mantid project. By joining the Mantid project, ILL will collaborate with other, major, neutron scattering facilities and offer a common interface to data treatment for nomadic neutron scatterers.
David Whittle, Government, Space & Defence Sector Director at Tessella, said: “Our unique combination of high end analytics, science and engineering expertise, and deep experience of the industries in which we operate, means we can help clients derive powerful insights from data. We are excited to have been chosen to work with ILL and we look forward to helping them advance their research.”
