16 July 2018 – President of UKspace and Chairman of the Space Sector Council, Andy Green, has warmly welcomed the government’s exciting and ambitious plans for UK Spaceports ahead of this week’s Farnborough International Airshow.

Space launch from the UK will create a wealth of opportunities for satellite manufacturers and industry in the wider supply chain while unlocking hundreds of highly-skilled jobs across the length and breadth of the country. The traditional space sector is changing and Spaceports will bring opportunities for vertical and horizontal launch of small satellites. This whole new market will be worth billions of pounds to Britain over the next decade, providing growth and prosperity to the economy,” commented Andy Green.
