The government has opened a consultation and is eager to hear from the space sector on its new National Security Investment bill.
The Bill would allow the government to scrutinise and intervene in business transactions, such as takeovers, to protect national security, while providing businesses and investors with the certainty and transparency they need to do business in the UK.
The Satellite and Space Technologies sector is one of those considered to be vital to national security and within the remit of this bill – and as such, the Government is consulting on its proposed definition.
Your feedback will inform the ultimate definitions and policy decisions that the government will bring forward as part of this work.
This consultation will run until 6 January 2021.
