DESCRIPTION:UK Space Command’s Defence Space Conference is the leading platform for all those who seek to influence and play a role in the development and operation of the UK’s military space capabilities. It provides a domestic focus\, updating cross-government\, MOD and industry partners on the future of defence space following the Strategic Defence Review\, Defence Reform and the Defence Investment Plan. \nUKspace is proud to sponsor the conference\, which will inform how the UK intends to become a competitive space power. \nThe conference programme is led by UK Space Command\, the Ministry of Defence’s lead for space operations\, space workforce and space capability. The key conference partner is the Freeman Air & Space Institute (FASI)\, and other participants include the Ministry of Defence\, Cyber & Specialist Operations Command and National Armaments Director Group\, as well as cross-government and industry partners. \nThemes for this year’s conference \n\nOne space: The future of defence space is cross-government. How does UK Space Command intend to collaborate cross-government to become a competitive space power?\nThe Future Defence Space portfolio: Becoming a competitive space power will require an enhanced space portfolio. What capabilities may make up this portfolio? What procurement and commercial rules need to be in place to enable this?\nUK space power in 2035: The UK aims to become a competitive space power by 2035.
