Policy Priorities for Delivering Growth in the Economy

A Manifesto for the New Government Taking place just after the General Election as Government Departments consider their new approaches and priorities for the Parliamentary term, this conference will bring together leading figures from across the business, innovation and skills sectors to highlight their priorities for policy reform. Sessions will consider key areas for reform such as the issue of cyber security, regional growth, supporting research and development and the need for increasing exports and inward investment to the UK. In addition, the priorities for the UK’s workforce, supporting start up businesses and entrepreneurship and supporting small business will be explored. The day will examine:

• First step priorities for the New Government to support regional growth;
• What is needed to enhance cyber security in the UK?;
• Producing the skills that will help businesses now and
• What do exports and inward investment in the UK need to thrive?

The aim of the event is to focus the minds of Parliamentarians and officials from relevant Departments on the way ahead for the Business, Innovation and Skills industries and offer representatives from the sector an opportunity to set out their priorities for reform.
