Harwell Women in Tech: Confidence in the Workplace – Knowing Your Worth

As part of International Women’s Day, Harwell Campus is hosting its inaugural ‘Harwell Women in Tech’ event, entitled ‘Confidence in the Workplace – Knowing Your Worth’, on 8 March from 09:30-11:30.

The Harwell Women in Tech programme will share knowledge, support colleagues and address the barriers and challenges experienced across the STEM industries and within the workplace.

This event is open to members of the Harwell community. Women and men are encouraged to attend to celebrate and support female colleagues who work in the technology and science sector.

The event’s speakers will be:

• Lucy Edge – Chief Operating Officer, Satellite Applications Catapult
• Shefali Sharma – Director, Oxford Dynamics
• Dr Sara Wells – Director of the Mary Lyon Centre, MRC Harwell

They will share how they have addressed the barriers across their career journey so far to develop confidence and tackle imposter syndrome, resulting in knowing and valuing their worth in the workplace.

Arrival drinks and networking from 09:30, with speaker sessions starting at 10:00 and a further opportunity to network from 11:00-11:30.
