Defence Space Seminar

This year’s inaugural Defence Space Seminar will be an important and timely forum for engagement between the Defence Space team and Industry.

It will be the first opportunity for engagement following the publication of the Defence Space Strategy in February 2022. It is now almost a year since the formation of UK Space Command, and initial work on the Defence Space Portfolio (DSP) is beginning to take shape.

During the morning, defence speakers will describe the key outputs from the Defence Space Strategy, provide an overview of the threat landscape, and relate this to our current approach to the DSP, Operations and Training.

Later in the day, there will a series of discussion sessions covering major space issues such as building and sustaining a mutually beneficial relationship with Industry, maximising our space workforce talent, accelerating and improving the acquisition process for space capability, and space’s contribution to multi-domain integration.
